CareSource is a nonprofit Medicaid-managed health care center, serving Medicaid consumers in Ohio for more than 15 years. Formerly known as Dayton Area Health Plan, the center provides services through a contract with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. It serves more than 430,000 members in Ohio, and is accredited by the Health Plan Health Call Center. CareSource is serviced by the CareSource Management Group that provides a wide range of services for the administration of public sector health care programs. Its medical management department is responsible for health care resource utilization reviews and monitoring the health care provided to members. It offers case management support for a variety of conditions, including asthma and high-risk pregnancy. CareSource is headquartered in Dayton, and has branch locations in Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio.
