Founded in 1938, The Shelly Company is a subsidiary of the Materials Division of Oldcastle Inc., one of the leading suppliers of aggregates, asphalt, ready mix concrete and paving services in the United States. Located in Thornville, Ohio, the company consists of around 41 asphalt plants, 45 aggregate operations, 29 ready mix plants, five liquid terminals, four wildlife sites and numerous paving as well as road construction operations. In 2008, The Shelly Company received Public Outreach Award from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
