Born out of the owner's remarkable recovery from a permanently debilitating chronic illness, this company strives to help others find a path to healing and hope through the practice of building biology, a holistic German discipline that studies the effects of the built environment on human health. Using standards developed in Germany, the building biology, or baubiologie, method measures aspects of the home environment, specifically electromagnetic radiation, and seeks to find ways to reduce or eliminate these pollutants from the home. Because of the owner's firsthand experience with building biology as the missing key to her recovery, she became a building biologist and formed the company in order to help others like herself win their battle against chronic illness. Education and awareness to the general public is crucial, because long-standing environmental factors are often implicated in the onset of many different illnesses.
