History
First Christian Church was founded in the fall of 1907 by a group of 12 people who desired a church in Clinton patterned like that of the New Testament. As more people came, new meeting locations had to be found. From 1909 to 1941, FCC met at 6th and Avant. Then a new church was built at 9th and Avant in 1941, where FCC gathered for the next 50 years. The current campus on 28th Street was built in 1991. Whatever the year, whatever the building, one thing was always the same: FCC followed the teachings of Jesus Christ. Different leaders, different events, different methods of ministry have changed over the years. But from 1907 to the present day, the people of FCC seek to follow Jesus Christ and base all beliefs and practices on the Bible.
