The Oklahoma State Department of Health, also known as OSDH, offers a range of medical services. It works to protect and promote the health of the citizens of Oklahoma. The department maintains community health services and human resources management divisions. The Oklahoma State Department of Health provides physical assessment, newborn screening, consulting, and child abuse prevention and training solutions. The department also issues birth and death certificates. It offers treatment solutions for cancer, injuries, and infectious and chronic diseases. The Oklahoma State Department of Health operates trauma, consumer protection, occupational licensing and jail inspection divisions. In addition, the department provides emergency medical and long-term care services. It offers technical support and guidance to more than 65 county health departments.
