Bethesda Lutheran Church, an evangelical Lutheran church based in Eugene, Ore., offers Bible studies and classes on Christian beliefs and life, practice, theology, family, marriage, social concerns, stewardship, evangelism and ethics. The church has a range of programs for men, women, children and the youth. Bethesda's early childhood programs include nursery and childcare during worship and regular church activities, preschool classes for three and four-year olds, indoor playground for infants through age five, summer day camps and a Christ-centered, midweek program. Women s two and three day retreats are scheduled each winter, spring and summer. The church supports missions in Brazil, Pakistan, China, Greece, Africa and the United States. It also supports local missions such as the Salvation Army, Jubilee Jail Ministries, Eugene Mission and Mission Partners.
