Robert Cain, LD at Cain Denture Centers in Hillsboro, Oregon, has been creating dental appliances since he was 11 years old, working at his father's lab.After college at Oregon State University, he worked in Dahlin Dental Laboratory, a large commercial lab. A few years later, in 1981, Robert completed his Denturist Certification Program and opened his first denture clinic in northeast Portland.During this time, he was also the lead denturist for Dr. Naisbitt and gained expert knowledge in implant-supported dentures from this experience. During his time at the practice, he was able to work on over 2,000 implant cases.In 1991, Robert took over the Hillsboro Denture Center and continues bringing his skill and expertise to the Hillsboro community at that location today.Robert believes in being a part of the quality of education for future denturists. In 1981, he co-founded the International Congress of Denturism, a committee that serves to improve the education offered in the field of Denturism. He also helped develop the Portland area Study Club, a collaborative group that shares advances and best practices for denture engineering.Robert lives with his wife, two teenage daughters, and their black Labrador in Northeast Portland. An avid outdoorsman, he can often be found bird hunting, fishing, or just exploring the rugged natural beauty of the Oregon coastline.
