A native Portlander, Dr Shimshak graduated from OHSU Dental School, where he also taught operative dentistry for 15 years. He is currently a member of the OHSU Alumni Board of Directors, as well as the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association and Multnomah Dental Association. .
