Eola Specialty Foods is one of the largest gourmet-quality sweet cherry farms in Oregon s Willamette Valley. Established in 1962 as Bell Farms, the company provides maraschino cherries to the Pacific Northwest. The company s Bell Farms is the growing operation, consisting of several hundred acres of Royal Anne and other varieties of cherries. To meet demand, the company also purchases hundreds of additional tons of cherries from other parts of Oregon as well as California, Washington and Idaho. Eola Specialty Foods operates a processing plant that enables the company to grow and process cherries at the proper maturity with less handling. The company packages its products in amounts ranging from approximately 10 ounces to nearly 10 pounds. The product is a traditional part of canned fruit cocktail and is often used to top off deserts or add to drinks.
