History
Beautifully crafted copper in the authentic and traditional way. Hundreds of years before Europeans arrived, the Purepecha Indians from Central Mexico enjoyed an independent and prosperous existence based on a highly developed copper industry. Today the descendants of these Native American smiths work copper in much the same way as did their pre-Columbian ancestors. These artisans use the Traditional Bonfire Method working the copper with nothing more than hammers and anvil to form beautifully crafted objects.
