Devoted to continued economic development within Manayunk, the Manayunk Development Corporation is a nonprofit, member-based organization located on Main St. Founded in 1992 after two similar groups merged, this nonprofit organizes events, maintains the downtown business district, and promotes Manayunk in the city and suburbs. The group recently changed offices and is now directly located on Main St. Jane Lipton is the executive director.
