The company hired its first employee in 2004 and grew to a staff of seven by 2009. Economic decline resulted in NetPrivateer downsizing its staff in 2010. Growing demand over the past few years has caused NetPrivateer to begin adding to its staff again. Over the past ten years, NetPrivateer's customer base has grown from a handful to over 200 satisfied customers.
