Vocational Rehabilitation
SCVRD (South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department) helps people with disabilities find employment. Based in North Charleston, S.C., the center provides vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with documented physical or mental impairment that interferes with their ability to work. It works with businesses and industries throughout South Carolina to prepare clients for the workplace. In addition, SCVRD offers specialized services for individuals that include cardiac rehabilitation, deaf and hard-of-hearing programs, as well as substance abuse/dependence treatment.
