Dick Termes is an internationally acclaimed artist whose work is recognized from New York to Tokyo. Termes spends several months painting spherical canvases know as Termespheres. These unique, mind-bending works of art are unlike anything you’ve ever seen. In the Black Hills, you have the opportunity to visit the largest collection of Termespheres in the world. The Termesphere Gallery can be found in one of four geodesic domes nestled in a valley just outside of Spearfish, South Dakota. Once inside, you can’t help but marvel as several dozen of his intricate worlds hang and rotate before your very eyes. “His art is magnificent and like nothing that I’ve ever seen before.
