The Lebanon Police Department provides safety and security services to the residents and visitors of the City of Lebanon, Tenn. It is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). The department maintains a citizens police academy that provides training programs related to laws, firearms instruction, defensive tactics, first aid, patrol procedures and investigations. The Lebanon Police Department has specialized units for narcotics and vice, domestic violence, property and evidence, sexual offenders and criminal investigations. It organizes and supports a variety of community-oriented policing and juvenile crime reduction programs. The Lebanon Police Department also undertakes neighborhood and fire watch programs, home fire safety inspections and home security checks.
