The Arc Davidson County & Greater Nashville is a dedicated organization serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Greater Nashville area and beyond. Established in 1952 by parents and friends of individuals with intellectual disabilities, The Arc is Nashville's chapter of The Arc of The United States, the largest membership disability organization in the nation.
Comprised of individuals with disabilities, their families, friends, and supporters in Davidson and surrounding counties, The Arc provides essential support, protection, and advocacy for over five thousand children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With more than seven hundred individuals enrolled in their service and support program across Davidson and twenty other counties in Middle Tennessee, The Arc collaborates with national, state, and local chapters to promote public awareness and advocate for beneficial policies.
Offering a range of programs including Advocacy & Education, Support Coordination, Family Support, and Future Planning, The Arc assists families in creating inclusive, comprehensive plans for the future, free of charge.
