Bill Aston is the Principal and Managing Director of Aston Technical Consulting Services, LLC. He has more than 39 years of experience in all phases of quality assurance, quality control and quality auditing. His past experiences include conducting QMS and product specification audits for the API, providing QA/QC support for project inspection coordination, management and supervision in the oil and gas and the chemical industries. Since 1977, Mr. Aston has conducted numerous quality management system audits throughout the USA, Canada and the Middle East and has developed and implemented ISO 9001 and API Q1 quality management systems. Mr. Aston is a certified RABQSA, Lead Auditor and an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor. He has held past certifications from the American Welding Society as a Certified Welding Inspector and certifications for various NDT methodologies. Mr. Aston has served as an SME supporting American Society for Quality's "Ask the Expert" program since 2008. Mr. Aston is chairman of ASQ Energy and Environmental Division's Oil & Gas Committee, listed with the Round Table Group as an expert witness for quality management systems, a senior member of ASQ, past member of ISO/TC 176 Study Group on Education, past member of the US Technical Advisory Group to ISO Technical Committee 176 ( US TAG to ISO TC 176 ). TC 176 is responsible for the development, maintenance and updating of the ISO 9000 standards family which includes: Collectively, our staff of associates includes Engineers, Technicians and Inspectors that have extensive experience in the Oil and Gas, equipment manufacturing, and fabrication industries. All ATCS support services are performed by ASQ or RABQSA certified auditors. Our inspection support personnel that hold current or past certifications as AWS Certified Welding Inspectors, or ASNT SNT TC 1A, Level II Technicians.
