History
Alla Prima began in Tracy Bligh's garage nearly 20 years ago. There she began teaching private lessons in clay to no more than five students. Soon the business began to grow with the addition of camps and classes for children. Tracy then purchased her own building in the downtown area and established the DBA and gallery space in 2005. With the high demand for an artistic outlet, the business grew into what Alla Prima is today - now offering lessons in as many mediums as possibly we can. These include: watercolor, acrylic, oil paint, earthenware clay, printmaking, pastel, drawing, India Ink, mosaics, and the list keeps growing. Upon Tracy's retirement, her daughter and longtime art instructor, Hannah Bligh, took the reigns and established Alla Prima's presence downtown once again in 2015. With over 100 students that take weekly private lessons, Alla Prima is thriving under its new owner and is quickly growing into its new space.
