After teaching around the Austin area for several years, I started McLemore Studio in 2014 to bring all my students on clarinet, piano and saxophone to one place. So far, I've hosted three recitals, packing the house at One-2-One Bar on South Lamar Boulevard.

Whether you want to take your playing to the next level or just get started, I can help you. I teach saxophone, clarinet and piano to all ages and all skill levels. I believe that we learn music by playing music, and I tailor my lessons to each student's musical interests and goals. I also host quarterly recitals and organize ensembles so that students have the opportunity to perform live with their peers. Music is an art form of expression and cooperation, and there is no substitute for one-on-one lessons -- not even YouTube. To prove it, I'll teach you the first lesson for free. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. I have 6-year-olds playing blues piano, 65-year-olds that can blow a mean jazz sax solo, and teenagers working their way through clarinet sonatas. Every time I see them play, I am reminded that life doesn't get much better than this.
