Christian H. Ibanez, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremities with an emphasis on hand, wrist, and elbow conditions. He provides nonoperative and operative management of upper extremity conditions. He seeks to provide the highest level of care while educating patients on their diagnosis. He’s also an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Ibanez received his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. During his medical school education, he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Society and served as president of his class. Ibanez completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He then completed fellowship training in hand surgery at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he treated traumatic and elective conditions of the upper extremities. Ibanez is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
