History
In December 2010 Selam Desta and Yared Lemma opened Desta Ethiopian Restaurant, opening their kitchen and hearts to everyone that came through their large wooden door. Through their creativity, hard work and dedication, they transformed Desta into one of the most popular and successful restaurants in the area. On August 15, 2012, after returning from a long and hard 16-hour day at the restaurant, both husband and wife passed away after an unfortunate tragedy, leaving their 2 year old baby boy behind. After 6 months of mourning, and long/hard thought, the family of Selam and Yared has decided to RE-OPEN the restaurant. The family is committed to carry on their legacy, by continuing to provide modern Ethiopian cuisine and a warm environment to all that sit at their table. The family would like to give sincere thanks for everyone's support during these difficult times. The beautiful Desta Restaurant has NOW RE-OPENED!! Please come by and visit us!
