History
This restaurant was founded by Jerry Moore, Sr., Retired Veteran of the United States Army and his wife Latanya Moore, both natives of Charleston South Carolina. After retiring from the military in 2012, Jerry decided to attend Culinary school at the Art Institute of Austin, and formalize his passion for cooking. He and his wife Latanya,both wanted to have a piece of the Carolina's in Texas, so what better way than through food. They opened Geechie's Southern Style Restaurant in May 2015, with the mindset of providing dishes that accompanied a lot of grains such a variety of rice and grits. As well as meats that are common to the Carolina's like shrimp and fish and home style additions like fried chicken, pork, bologna; in a variety of ways. It was also important to maintain the likes of soul food by providing a host of sides that makes missing home a taste of home.

We are Geechie's Southern Style Restaurant, a southern eatery that provides cuisines that combines home cooking and traditional southern elements; bringing about southern food with a twist. We have a simple, but versatile menu that has something for everyone; from sandwich's to meals fit for a King. Our prices are favorably priced as well, with entrees ranging from $6.99-$16.99. Specials offered weekly and we provide a Chef Choice Menu on Sunday, that allows the Chef to promote new cuisines, as well as allow you the consumer to take advantage of our Cafeteria Style Family meal: 1 meat, 1 starch, and 2 sides for $12.99, that the whole family can enjoy!
