Groves Public Services Department provides supervision and engineering for the automotive and heavy equipment. It serves the community of Groves, Texas, and operates through several divisions that include garage inspection and permits, field operations, utility operations, water plant and wastewater plant divisions, sanitation services, and streets, drainage and solid wastes division. In addition, the department is responsible for the maintenance of city maps, inspection of contractors' work and subdivision development, and performs field surveys for project planning and design. It offers services, such as pot hole repair, replacement of curb and gutter, mosquito control, sweeping paved streets, grass cutting in parks, collection of residential trash and garbage, repair of leaks, water meter repair, and repair of aerators and pump stations.
