Montgomery County Hospital District

The Montgomery County Hospital District is a political subdivision of the state government of Texas. MCHD was established through special legislation in 1977 to provide health care for residents of the county. In addition to the legislative charge to provide indigent care, MCHD operates the county's ambulance service, 800 Trunked Radio System, and offers a variety of community and professional education programs. The Montgomery County Hospital District Emergency Medical Service collaborates with LifeGift, a tissue donation organization in Houston. The principal aspects of the partnership are aimed at saving and enhancing the lives of Montgomery County residents.
