Established in 1998, YES Southeast serves more than 700 students in grades six through 12. It offers an academic program that includes advanced-placement classes and a variety of electives courses. The school s syllabus includes English, fine arts, mathematics, physical education, science, social studies, technology and world languages. Its students are offered a wide range of sports programs, such as basketball, cross country, soccer, softball and volleyball. The academy has a library that provides computers, as well as a variety of journals, books, weekly magazines, online databases and Internet resources for supplementary information. YES Southeast has a counseling department helps students in test understanding, career planning, academic improvement and college placement.
