History
I have a BA and MA in Psychology. After I finished school, my desire for further training led me to the Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Center's Play Therapist training program. The year long, 150 hour program taught me skills in evaluating and treating children as well as an intimate understanding of developmental issues. After I finished my MA in 1976, at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, I started working in a community mental health clinic there. In the 8 years I worked in the child and adolescent unit, later supervising the unit, I received incredible training in working with a wide variety of family and child issues. I have had a full practice in DeSoto for most of the last 20 years. Currently I see more adults than children, but still enjoy a number of child and adolescent cases.
