Mark T. Stewart, M.D., is originally from Dallas, Texas. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and completed his General Surgery residency and Vascular Surgery fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He has practiced with Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons since 1989. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. He also holds a certificate of Special Qualifications in General Vascular Surgery. Dr. Stewart specializes in Vascular and Transplant Surgery. He is the Director of Renal Transplantation at Brackenridge Hospital and Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery for the Seton Healthcare Network. He was formerly on the faculty of the Emory University School of Medicine and has also served as a consultant in Vascular Surgery to the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the Texas Transplantation Society, International Society for Cardiovascular Surgery, Southern Association for Vascular Surgery, Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, Emory Association of Vascular Surgery, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, and the Travis County Medical Society. Dr. Stewart has authored numerous research articles, book chapters and presentations in his specialty.
