Dr. Shannon attended college at The University of Texas at Arlington, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She received her medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed pediatric residency at Children s Medical Center Dallas. After completing her training, Dr. Shannon joined the Medical and Surgical Clinic of Irving and has been practicing there since 2005. Dr. Shannon is board certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Shannon enjoys pediatrics as it allows her to provide medical knowledge and support to families, to partner with parents and to share in the challenges and joys of raising healthy, happy and confident children. She enjoys seeing children of all age groups and has a special interest in preventive care. Dr. Shannon lives in Dallas with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, running, cooking and playing piano. She is fluent in Russian, active in her church and volunteers in the Childcare Ministry. Dr. Shannon was awarded the Mom Approved Doctor Award in DFW Child magazine in 2016.
