Founded in 1968 as the Lake Travis News by Harold H. Breadlow, the Hill Country News has been an eye-witness to the incorporation and growth of Cedar Park and Leander, along with the creation through annexation of Williamson County's largest city, Austin. The Hill Country News has provided local news coverage for this area since long before Cedar Park and Leander became cities. The News has strived to report the news in an unbiased manner, telling both sides of the story even when neither side cared to hear the other's point of view. Still covering Leander ISD, the weekly Four Points News serves our readers in Steiner Ranch, River Place, Volente, Grandview Hills, Westminster Glen and the Lake Travis area. The Four Points News debuted June 9, 2005 and the issue runs every Thursday.
