Transportation Northside is governed by the Northside Independent School District. It provides bus services to more than 35,000 elementary, middle and high school students and any student who lives more than two miles away from schools. The school district has a bus fleet of more than 650 buses. It has certain criteria to determine the bus stop locations for regular routes within district boundaries, including grade levels, environmental factors and walking distance. It also provides programs, such as training and driver and assistant programs. Its training programs include training for bus drivers and assistants and inservice training for regular bus drivers.
