History1956-1979 Poolquip Manufacturing, Poolquip McNeme During this time the father/son team of Truett Owen and Robert Owen, aware of the maturation of the industry, moved the focus of the business from manufacturing filters, lights and fittings to wholesale distribution. Eventually merging with a wholesale distributor based in Houston, and the company became known as Poolquip McNeme. During this time many lifelong relationships with customers, manufacturers and employees were formed. Poolquip McNeme was sold in 1979. 1996 After selling the business and serving as the First Executive Director of WINDO (Wholesale Independent Distributors Organization), Robert had another idea up his sleeve...the rebirth of Poolquip. The decision was made in July and the doors were opened on December, 2, 1996.SpecialtiesWe are wholesale only! We do not sell to the general public. We strive to be helpful, informative and friendly. We believe relationships are the core of our business and look forward to continuing that tradition. We keep our warehouse stocked with all the latest pool equipment, parts and supplies. We also stock replacement parts for existing pools. Our staff offers extensive knowledge and is available by phone, email or in person at the counter. We believe being a locally owned and operated family business gives us the freedom to focus on our individual customers' needs.
