Whittier Middle School is a part of the San Antonio Independent School District, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Whittier Middle School serves students in grade six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, science, social studies and language arts. The school supports a variety of elective programs in band, orchestra, choir, technology applications and physical education. In addition, Whittier Middle School conducts foreign language sessions in Spanish and offers the English as a Second Language program. It also supports several sports activities, including basketball, soccer, football, golf, cross country and tennis. Located in San Antonio, Whittier Middle School is recognized by the Texas Education Agency.
