Opened in 1977, Camey Elementary School is a part of the Lewisville Independent School District. The school serves more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school provides an array of special programs, such as reading recovery, special education, dyslexia help, gifted and talented and extended school day programs. It also supports the English as a Second Language program. Camey Elementary School s counselor works directly with the faculty, students and the parents to facilitate academic success and personal development of the students. The elementary school has a library that has a collection of picture books and fiction and nonfiction titles, as well as various databases, reference materials, magazines and newspapers. Camey Elementary School is based in The Colony, Texas.
