Located in Austin, Texas, the Environmental Affairs Division addresses issues related to air and water quality, animal and plant ecology, archeology and historic properties, environmental justice, hazardous materials and traffic noise. The division is a part of the Texas Department of Transportation, which plans, designs, builds, operates and maintains the state's transportation system.
