The Troop was established in 1959 and is chartered by the Redeemer Lutheran Church at 1500 West Anderson Lane in Austin, Texas
Specialties
Troop 413 is a boy led unit of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) in North Central Austin. Troop 413 meets at Redeemer Lutheran School but is open to all boys between the ages of 11 through 18. Key features of the troop are a small troop size (about 30 boys), high adventure activities such a Philmont Scout Ranch in Colorado, a large percentage of youth making Eagle Scout rank, a large number of adults that are active even after their sons are no longer in Scouts and a good financial position due to annual Thanksgiving turkey and Christmas tree fundraisers.
