One of the leading providers of primary education in the United States, Chester Andover Elementary School has been operational for more than 20 years. Located in Chester, Vt., the school enrolls more than 500 students in the grades kindergarten through five. It offers a wide variety of learning procedures and methodologies, including read alouds, shared and guided reading, word study, mini lessons, spelling program, poetry sessions, interactive writing, writer s workshop, special handwriting classes, and reading buddies programs. Chester Andover Elementary utilizes a full-inclusion model, ongoing assessments, individualized lesson plans, modified materials and class arrangements, grade level conferences, and parent communication program. The school employs more than 50 support staff, including counselors, diagnosticians, speech, physical and occupational therapists, special education personnel, reading teachers, custodial staffs, community volunteers, nurses, and office personnel.
