Simon Pearce is headquartered in a historic woolen mill on the Ottauquechee River near Quechee, Vt. Simon Pearce restored the unique location in 1981, and its hydroelectric turbine, which harnesses the river s power to fuel the factory s glass furnace. The company s craftsmen produce blown glass, pottery, flatware, wooden bowls and furniture and sells the products at its 10-plus retail stores in Vermont, Connecticut, California, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Visitors to the Quechee location can observe glass blowing during business hours, seven days a week. They can also visit the award-winning Simon Pearce Restaurant, which overlooks the falls of the Ottauquechee River and its covered bridge.
