Hardel Mutual Plywood Corporation was the first plywood plant to incorporate a certified inspector on the management team. The company was organized in 1953 as a worker-owned softwood plywood mill. Starting from a modest beginning, the plant has been in continuous operation since it was founded. Annual sales have increased from 35 million to 170 million square feet of plywood (3/8 basis). Hardel Mutual Plywood Corporation is a long-term member of the American Plywood Association and operates under the APA continuous quality supervision program.
