Mercer Inc. is a business trust organized under the laws of the State of Washington in 1968. It operates in the pulp and paper business. The company is a provider of fiber, renewable energy and chemicals from sustainable sources. It is one of the largest producers of market northern bleached softwood kraft or NBSK pulp in the world with an annual production of over 1.475 Air Dried Metric Tonnes (ADMT). The company is the sole kraft pulp producer and the only producer of pulp for resale in Germany, which is the largest pulp import market in Europe. Mercer International serves customers in Asia, Europe and, North America.
