The County Aging Unit provides information and services that promote independence and support the dignity of senior citizens. It provides services in the areas of housing, transportation, recreation and education. The unit offers support, nutritional, and home and health care services. It maintains more than 15 dining rooms for senior citizens. The unit assists individuals in solving problems which arise in public benefit programs and consumer issues. It organizes training camps, workshops and counseling classes. The unit additionally publishes a newsletter.
