Credit Union National Association is a nonprofit, national trade association that serves the interests of more than 90% of the credit unions in the United States. In partnership with state credit union leagues, CUNA provides a variety of services to credit unions, including representation, information, public relations, continuing professional education and business development. CUNA Strategic Services partners with league service corporations to offer products, services, and technology that credit unions need to compete in the modern financial market. The organization is governed by volunteer directors who are elected by their credit union peers. It was founded in 1934 and is headquartered in Washington, D.C. CUNA also operates an additional office in Madison, Wis.
