HistoryPresent Music is a leading new music ensemble, founded and based in Milwaukee since 1982. We've worked with composers to establish new music in Milwaukee, and have performed throughout Milwaukee at venues including Turner Hall Ballroom, Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Humphrey Scottish Rite Masonic Center, The Wherehouse, Milwaukee Art Museum, Helen Bader Hall at UWM, and others. Present Music has also toured nationally and internationally, and performed at Interlink Festival of New American Music (Japan), Bang on a Can Festival (NY), Istanbul International Music Festival, Composer Portraits Series (Columbia University's Miller Theatre).SpecialtiesAn ensemble that commissions, performs and records contemporary music.
