History
Princeton, Wisconsin founded by Royal C. Treat who saw the beauty and potential of the Fox River April 15, 1848. Royal and his brother Henry Treat, figured in the social yet industrial aspects of this land and started to build a community with a simple shack. Soon Princeton known as Treat's Landing was granted a village charter and was on its way of growing into the beautiful city that it is today. Though dates and names are important in chronological history of any community, the years of memories from the hundreds who grew up on these tree-lined streets are what means the most to us. Many have moved to distant places while others enjoy the comfort of childhood memories in this home town. Our mission is to remind the community of those happy, care-free days running barefoot along the Fox River with a present day feel. Enjoying life... a little sweeter! Please come join us back in time and play a game of Checkers, Backgammon, Chess or Tic tac toe and enjoy an old fashioned ice cream
